LOVE IN SPACE.

HERE
As a CG animator you spend most of your time in front of your computer. It's recommended that every 20-30 minutes you should move away your eyes from a monitor and look at the sky (if you have a window) or at the wall for at least 5 or 4 minutes. But of cause, it's hard to look at something without a motivation. Here is what I did last year. I've fastened on the wall a roll of paper just leaving enough space so I can do some drawing on it. Every time when I'd have my little break I sketch on this paper anything that first would come to my mind. When the spot is filled with my charcoal drawing I'd roll the paper leaving a spot enough for the next drawing. I've never looked at what I drawn there until I finished the roll. Well, I can't say that It was useless. It's fun!

There is something I like about Madam B. is that she is not only a singer and a song writer but in fact she is a very creative person. An Artist. I find her work inspiring.

ZaISm

I have created this character several years ago. A theme of this an experimental work is to create the character which is limited in the means of expression. It doesn't have mouth, eyes, hands, etc. but at the same time my assignment is to intrigue an individual and have the one to have an emotional experience. To tell the story about this character (I called Zaism) using his limited ability to express himself. Work in progress, but I have decided to show it ... because this video of the "Big Dog" by Bostondynamics (below), that I watched a few days ago made on me a huge impression. There are moments in this video that made me feel that this robot is like alive (Joking) ;o)

The industry standard in real-time motion simulation...

I'm just impressed with this "thing"... How it moves and keeps the balance. It's a good live-action reference ...;o)
What if they would give it some piece of mind?
And, apparently someone actually did add some peace of mind to it. This is a parody on the "Big Dog"

Mr. Bob Logan

Welcome, the year 2008.

So many great thinks happened last year and one of them is that one of the incredibly talented artists Bob Logan published his book " Rocket Town". A book is fantastic! Beautiful drawing and Great concept. It's a story that could easily become a movie or a short film. I love to read this book to my son. He loves it.
As I know Bob for many years now. He is an extremely talented artist and storyteller who worked in animation for many years now. I remember Bob boarding a hilariously funny stories on "Madagascar" here at DreamWorks. A years go by but very go "Rocket Town" is here. And it's beautiful. I'd would highly recommend to get the book or check on Bob's art.

P. S. Next, I'd like to put on my wishing list an art book of Patrick Mate.
